Lease or Purchase: Two Ways to Pay For Your Display
Holiday lighting is typically offered as either a seasonal lease or an outright purchase. We offer both, and the right structure depends on how you intend to use the display over time.
Leasing suits clients who prefer to revisit the design. We retain the materials, so a change from one season to the next is a conversation before installation rather than a purchase. Warm white this year, alternating red and white next year, a tree added as the landscaping matures. Your billing follows whatever the new design requires.
Purchasing suits clients who have settled on a look. You acquire the materials in the first season and pay a reduced service-only rate every year after. A design change in a later season may call for additional materials. Should you move, the display can travel with you, remain with the property, or be repurposed as you see fit.
Storage and in-season service remain included within the service under both models.

Christmas Light Installation Pricing FAQs
Why does our pricing start at $1,500?
A minimum lets us do the work properly. It covers commercial-grade materials rather than retail strands, crews who are our own employees and carry insurance, service calls during the season at no charge, and removal and storage in January. Holiday lighting is not a regulated trade, and there are companies who will quote you less. Before comparing figures, it is worth asking what happens when a strand fails in mid-December, and whether the company that installed it will still be reachable.
How do you calculate the price?
By the materials your design requires. Linear footage of roofline, the number and size of trees, how much greenery is involved, and whether the work extends indoors all determine how much product goes on the property, and the quote follows from that. A single-story home with a clean roofline and a two-story property with wrapped oaks take very different amounts of material, which is why every quote is built after we measure.
What does a typical residential installation cost?

Do I own the lights, or do you?
Whichever you prefer. Under our lease model we retain the materials and your design can change from season to season. Under our purchase model the materials become yours after the first season and your annual rate drops to service only. Design, installation, in-season maintenance, removal, and storage are part of both.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit of 25% reserves your installation date and the balance is due once the work is complete. Deposit amount can exceed 25% depending on the materials a design requires. Specialty materials may require a higher deposit percentage.
What happens if something goes out during the season?
Call or text and we are back within 24 to 48 hours at no charge, whether you lease or own your materials. Because we route repairs geographically, we are often there sooner. Normal wear is covered. Repeated damage from wildlife, lawn crews, or other third parties may require replacement materials.
When should I book, and does booking early affect the price?
Our installations begin the last Monday of October and run through early December. There is no scheduling cutoff, though dates are reserved in the order they are requested. We do discount early-season installation dates, since a schedule that fills evenly lets our crews work more efficiently than one compressed into November. In September, existing clients start reserving their installation dates, while most new clients reach out in October and November.
Do you charge extra for tree wrapping?
Trees are one of the largest variables in any quote. We wrap trunks and branches out to the tips rather than stopping at the lower limbs, and a mature oak wrapped fully can carry several hundred strands on its own. Tree work is quoted alongside the rest of the design rather than added as a separate line item, so the figure reflects the material each tree genuinely requires. Do I pay the same amount every year?
That depends on the model you choose. Under our purchase model, your annual rate drops to service only after the first season, since the materials are already yours. Under our lease model, your rate follows the materials your design requires, so it holds steady unless you change the display. Either way, we review the following season's figure with you before your date is scheduled.
