Christmas Light Installation Dallas
Professional Christmas light installation in Dallas. We design it, install it, service it all season, and take it down in January. Your only job is deciding how it should look.
Professional Christmas Light Installation in Dallas, TX
Professional Christmas light installation in Dallas is more than lights along a roofline. Whether you picture a clean warm white roofline or a full property transformation with wrapped trees, lit walkways, garland, and wreaths, we design it and install it. Christmas Lights 4 U is Dallas' trusted holiday decorating company.
Every display is designed around your property. We start with what already makes the house worth looking at. The gables and dormers. The mature oaks along the drive. The entry, the balconies, and landscaping features. Then we build a plan that draws the eye to those elements after dark, instead of outlining the roof and calling it finished.

Each of our installations is designed around commercial grade LED lighting and holiday decor components, paired with a variety of decorating techniques to transform your property. Our C9 and mini LED light strands are energy efficient, weather-resistant, and available in warm white, pure white, or any custom color combination you'd prefer. Every strand is measured and cut on site to the exact run, so the finished line follows your rooflines instead of approximating them.
Our work does not stop at the front door. We also design and install interior displays, from the Christmas tree and the mantel to the staircase and the entry. Greenery is built in curated designer palettes, so the ribbon, ornaments, and garland work together instead of competing.

Holiday Light Installation in Dallas: Complete Displays
A complete display is rarely one element. Most of our holiday lighting installations in Dallas combine several holiday decor features, each chosen for how it transforms the property after dark.
Roofline and Architectural Lighting
Roofline lighting is the foundation of most displays. We highlight the street-facing rooflines, then follow the architecture into peaks, gables, dormers, columns, and entry arches.
Warm white, pure white, and custom color combinations are all available, and the right one depends as much on your home's materials as your preference. Limestone, painted wood, and dark brick each read differently under the same bulb.
Tree Wraps and Landscape Features
Trees do more for a property after dark than any other element. We wrap trunks and branches out to the tips, which is the part most crews skip. A mature oak wrapped fully can carry several hundred strands on its own, and the result is a beautifully lit tree rather than a lit trunk.
Beyond the trees, we light shrubs and hedges, outline landscaping beds, walkways, drives, and other unique features. This is where a display stops outlining the house and starts shaping the property.
Wreaths, Garland, and Entryways
The entry is where guests arrive, and where a display gets looked at closely. We install decorated wreaths and garland across doors, arches, columns, gates, and roof peaks. Forty eight and sixty inch wreaths are staples on our residential installations.
Our greenery is built in curated designer palettes. Peppermint, Gilded Forest, Traditional, Old World, Winter Frost, Blackwatch, or ask about customizing a color combination of your choice. Ornaments are shatterproof and pre-wired, set to a repeating sequence so the piece reads evenly from every angle.
Interior Holiday Decorating
The design does not have to stop at the front door. We decorate interiors for Dallas homes as well, from the Christmas tree to the mantel, the staircase, and the entry.
Interior greenery uses the same designer palettes as the exterior, so the tree and the front door belong to one design rather than two. Ornaments are shatterproof and pre-wired, spaced to a repeating sequence and sized in a mix of four, four and three quarters, and six inches so the piece has depth rather than reading flat.
How Our Dallas Christmas Light Installation Works
From your first call to the last detail, you work with the same team and we design it with you, not just for you.
Request Your Quote
Complete our contact form, or give us a call and tell us what you have in mind. We measure the property and price the full service up front, with no hidden costs later.
Design and Selection
We design your holiday lighting and decor installation around your home's prominent features, and we walk you through the plan before anything is ordered. Bulb size, color options, greenery, and which features to decorate. This is also where you choose whether to lease or purchase your display.
Professional Installation
Insured crews cut each strand on site to the exact length during installation. Most Dallas homes are completed within a single day. Larger properties get larger crews, often finishing within a day as well.
In-Season Maintenance
A bulb out or a strand down? Text or call. We are back within 24 to 48 hours at no charge, and often sooner.
Takedown and Storage
In January, our team removes, labels, and neatly packs away all lights and decor until next season. No hassles of storing large heavy boxes in your attic or closets.
Our installs begin the last Monday of October and run through early December. There is no cutoff, but dates fill in the order they are reserved. Interior displays take more planning and sourcing, so reach out early if that is part of your plan.
Lease or Purchase: Two Ways to Decorate Your Home Each Year
Holiday lighting installation is usually offered one of two ways. A company either leases you the materials each season, or you purchase the materials in the initial year. We are among the few Christmas light companies in Dallas offering both because customers receive the most benefit when they have the option to select which model is best for their situation.
Both of our Christmas light installation service models include customized design, installation, in-season maintenance, removal, and storage, along with access to the full range of our products. What changes is ownership, and what ownership allows.
Leasing: Change Your Display Every Year
We own all of the materials. You own the option to change the display.
A leased display can evolve from one season to the next. Warm white this year, alternating red and white the next, a new tree added as the landscaping fills in. Each is a conversation before installation, and your billing follows the materials your design requires.
If your plans change, so can the display. Add a tree, drop a section, or shift the whole design, as long as we know before the season begins.
Leasing suits clients who treat the display as a design decision worth revisiting each year.
Purchasing: Own Your Lights, Lower Annual Rate
Purchase all of your lighting and holiday decor in the initial year. Enjoy full-service benefits at a reduced service-only rate in future seasons.
You buy the materials through us in the first season, and we continue to provide installation, in-season maintenance, removal and storage. If you move, the display can go with you, stay with the house, or be repurposed however you see fit.
Design changes in later seasons may require new materials. For example, adding alternating red and white bulbs to a warm white display means purchasing the red bulbs.
Purchasing suits clients who have found the look they want and intend to keep it.
| Leasing | Purchasing | |
|---|---|---|
| Ownership of materials | Ours | Yours, after the first season |
| Design changes | Anytime, before installation | New materials required |
| Your own dedicated set | ✓Yes | ✓Yes |
| Full product selection | ✓Included | ✓Included |
| Design and installation | ✓Included | ✓Included |
| In-season maintenance | ✓Included | ✓Included |
| Removal and storage | ✓Included | ✓Included |
Under both models, the materials are dedicated to your home. Nearly every client begins with new product, and we do not install lighting that is aged, unreliable, or visibly different from new. At the close of each season, every strand, wreath, and piece of garland is labeled, cataloged, and warehoused at our facility. The following year it returns to the same placements on the same house, and our crews work from those labels. It is why the display looks the same in year five as it did in year one.
How Much Does Christmas Light Installation Cost In Dallas?
Christmas light installation in Dallas starts at $1,500 and typically runs $1,800 to $2,600 for a full residential display. Estate properties and large-scale designs begin around $3,500. Every quote includes design, materials, installation, in-season maintenance, removal, and storage.
We do not sell packages. Pricing follows the materials your design requires, which is why the figures above are a range rather than a number.
Dallas Neighborhoods We Serve
We install across Dallas, and the neighborhood shapes the design as much as the house does. Lot size, tree cover, setback, and roof material all change what a display needs.
Uptown
75201 · 75204 · 75219Townhomes, brownstones, and mid-rise buildings on compact lots. Displays here work vertically, with balconies, entries, and street-facing elevations carrying most of the design.
Turtle Creek
75219The creek corridor brings mature canopy right up to the property line. Wrapped trees often carry more of the display than the roofline does.
Bluffview
75209 · 75220Rolling terrain and winding streets, which is rare in Dallas. Elevation changes mean a display is viewed from above or below rather than straight on, and we design for the angle.
Devonshire
75209Tudor and traditional homes on tree-lined streets with modest setbacks. Steep gables and detailed brickwork reward a clean, well-cut roofline over a layered design.
Preston Hollow
75225 · 75229 · 75230From acre-plus estate lots with gated approaches to smaller mid-century homes on flatter ground. Deep setbacks and heavy oak canopy mean the display reads from the street. Slate and standing seam roofs are common, and we install those from lifts.
Greenway Parks
75209Shared greenbelts and mature landscaping define the neighborhood. Displays here are seen from the parkways as much as from the street, which changes where the light needs to fall.
Lakewood
752141920s Tudors and traditionals with steep pitches, arched entries, and detailed trim. The architecture does the work, and the lighting follows the lines already there.
M Streets
75206Tudor cottages on tight lots. With houses this close together, a well-cut roofline is visible from three directions at once, so precision matters more than volume.
White Rock
75214 · 75218Lake-adjacent homes with heavy tree cover and varied architecture. Tree wrapping and landscape lighting often carry more of the display than the house itself.
Forest Hills
75218Wooded lots and rolling ground on the east side of White Rock Lake. Mature trees and long approaches make this a tree-forward neighborhood.
North Dallas
75230 · 75240Traditional homes and newer custom builds on generous lots. Two-story elevations and wide frontages give a display room to spread.
Far North Dallas
75248 · 75254Larger two-story homes, many in golf course and gated communities. Multiple rooflines and elevations mean more linear footage than the lot size suggests.
Highland Park and University Park are separate towns with their own service page. See Christmas light installation in Highland Park.

Meet Your Dallas Christmas Light Installers
The people who show up matter as much as the design.
Every one of our Dallas Christmas light installers is our own employee, working under a $1 million general liability policy. Not a subcontractor, not a seasonal hire from a staffing agency. Our crews are largely the same people, returning season after season. Each team member is trained on our installation best practices, quality expectations, and labeling system, which is how a display goes back on a house exactly as it came off.
Christmas Lights 4 U is a Dallas-based company. Not a franchise, and not an out-of-town operation sending crews down for the season. We were founded here in 2018, we work from an office on North Central Expressway, and our owner, Clayton Hirt, is part of every design conversation.
When you have a question in December, you are not calling a service line. You are calling the people who decorated your house.
What Dallas Homeowners Say
"Great first time with Clay and his team. Quick response to my initial inquiry, then came and installed and took down on schedule. We have had several bad experiences with installers who no showed or otherwise did not do the job, so this was a pleasant change. We will definitely use them going forward."
Jim S. · Dallas, TX
"These guys are great!! I called fairly late (mid-November). They returned calls promptly. Came out in a week, did a great job. The first night I noticed 2-3 bulbs on roofline were out and they came that night and replaced them. Very responsive... We really enjoyed our lights this year and got lots of compliments."

Dallas Christmas Light Installation FAQ
How much does Christmas light installation cost in Dallas?
Most Dallas homes range between $1,800 to $2,600. Roofline-only displays start at $1,500 and estate properties begin around $3,500. Pricing follows the materials your design requires, so every quote is built after we look at the property.
When should I book my Christmas light installation in Dallas?
Our installs begin the last Monday of October and run through early December. There is no scheduling cutoff, but dates fill in the order they are reserved. Existing clients typically reserve their November installation in September. Most new clients reach out in October and November. Interior displays take more planning and sourcing, so reach out earlier if that is part of your plan.
When do you take the lights down?
We remove displays in January. You do not need to be home, and nothing gets left behind on your rooflines, gutters, or landscaping.
How long does installation take?
Most Dallas homes are completed in a single day. Larger properties get larger crews, and often finish within one day as well.
What happens if a light goes out during the season?
Text or call and we will be out within 24 to 48 hours at no charge, whether you lease or own your materials. Because we schedule repairs by route, we are often out sooner. Normal wear and failure is covered. Repeated damage from wildlife, lawn crews, or other third parties may require replacement materials.
How long do LED Christmas lights last?
Several seasons, though the exact lifespan depends on the product and how exposed it is. Over time the coatings that keep a bulb waterproof and bright begin to break down. Water finds its way into the system, GFCI outlets trip more often, individual bulbs burn out faster, and the display loses the crispness it had when it was new. We inspect materials before every season and tell you when renewal is worth considering, rather than waiting for a failure in December.
Do I own the lights, or do you?
That is your choice. Under our lease model we retain the materials and your design can change from year to year. Under our purchase model you own the materials after the first season and pay a reduced service rate afterward. Both include design, installation, in-season maintenance, removal, and storage.
Where are the lights stored between seasons?
At our facility, at no additional charge. Every strand, wreath, and length of garland is labeled and cataloged at the end of the season, then returned to the same placements on your home the following year. Nothing goes into your attic or garage.
Can you install on a slate or metal roof?
Yes. Slate and decorative metal roofs cannot be walked on, so we install those from ladders and an aerial work platform rather than from the roof itself. When a property requires equipment rental, it appears as a separate line item on your quote.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit of 25% reserves your installation date, with the balance due on completion. The deposit amount may vary up to 50%, depending on the materials your design requires.
Make Your Home the One They Slow Down To See
From a clean warm white roofline to a full property inside and out, we design around your house, install with our own crews, service it all season, and take it down in January. Your materials are labeled and stored, so year five looks exactly like year one. Tell us about your property and our team will take it from there.
